Through this cookie policy I want to explain what is a cookie, how it will be used, types of cookies, and what information will be collected. First of all, a cookie, known as an HTTP cookie, browser cookie, web cookie or internet cookie, is not edible.

Let’s talk between us: when you enter to a website, either is mine or not, you’ll accept by default this cookie policy (and also privacy policy + terms & conditions). Really interesting, right? But why? The internet is not a public space! Everything you have done, are doing and will do can have a boomerang effect on you.

There are some cookies that are automatically stored, cookies from 3rd parties, not from me, but from some plugins which I used to build this website.

How Do I Use Cookies?

Personally, I have nothing to do with them. Instead, as it is the legislation for every online service, this website uses cookies from 1st and 3rd parties for various purposes.

Cookies from 1st parties are the most valuable for the proper functioning of the websites and they don’t collect any personal data.

Cookies from 3rd parties have the role to analyze and understand the website performance and how do you interact with it.

There are cookies that record what website users visit, that help the website to remember user actions or user preferences (only in your browser), and of course, many analytics cookies that use tracking cookies to anonymously record user activity.

My main goal with this website is to learn by writing, then present my expertise through a series of blog posts. Cookies and other GDPR-related policies are just some technical things that should be taken as such: you can’t get rid of them if you use the internet.

There are several types of cookies, some of them well known, others not at all.

It’s good to know that a 3rd party cookie is a cookie that belongs to a domain other than the one displayed in the browser. These cookies are most often used for tracking purposes. I don’t have any idea about these cookies, I don’t have the right tools to identify the 3rd parties and also I don’t know what are their main purpose with these tracking cookies.

In general, these 3rd party cookies are used for advertising purpose, but I don’t have ads on this site from 3rd parties (like Google), I only have my own ads and some backlinks to websites where I got some information or references.

I’d like to know too what are the cookie storage duration, but there is a lack of knowledge and this website is not build to store cookies.. As I said earlier, cookies are stored in your browser.

Depending on the browser settings, the duration can be interrupted after closing the session or, I don’t know, for 180 or 365 days – I have some plugins which remember your choices for 180 days (#statistics).
